Location. The Amber House is located in midtown Sacramento, Calif., in a quiet, turn of the century neighborhood with tree lined streets. This bed and breakfast is eight blocks from the California State Capitol and the Sacramento City Convention Center in the city's downtown. Sutter's Fort State Historic Park, located 10 blocks from the Amber House, offers self guided audio tours of Sacramento's earliest settlement and an adjacent park suitable for picnicking.
Features. This property is comprised of two historic homes, the Musician's Manor and Poet's Refuge. Complimentary two course gourmet breakfasts are served in the guestrooms, in the dining room or in the garden. Breakfast is preceded by early morning coffee/tea and newspaper delivery. Evening beverages and freshly baked chocolate chip cookies are provided at turndown. Complimentary fax and printing services are included. Concierge services and same day laundry and dry cleaning services are available. The property includes parlors and a library for holding meetings or lounging.
