Location. The Ritz Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation encompasses a 35 acre peninsula on Lake Oconee in Greensboro, Ga. The lodge themed resort lies within the 8,000 acre Reynolds Plantation located between Augusta and Atlanta. The Ritz Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation provides transportation to Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport located 75 miles from the property.
Hotel Features. The resort was included on the 2007 Cond? Nast Traveler Gold List as one of the world's best places to stay. The resort offers numerous outdoor activities. The concierge arranges mountain bike and horse back riding excursions. Other popular pastimes include fishing in the 19,000 acre Lake Oconee, experiencing guided kayaking and canoeing adventures, and floating leisurely on pontoon boats. In the outdoor pool complex, the Infinity pool appears to melt into Lake Oconee. The complex also features a 10 person spa tub and a children's pool with sundeck. Four designer golf courses meander through the pine forested property and offer 99 holes of championship golf.
Inside the hotel, The Ritz Carlton Spa features plunge pools, steam rooms and saunas. The spa's private couples' rooms display jetted tubs and flickering candles. The spa administers Prada beauty treatments, earthy Herb and Flower Friction Massages and Indian Herb Body Wraps.
Six dining venues dot the property. At Linger Longer Bar, Maine Lobster highlights the menu while dinner at Chiminea restaurant centers around personal lakeside chimineas. Refined dining at Georgia's restaurant features Herb Crusted Colorado Lamb and Orange Scented Duck Breast. Georgia's private dining rooms host special gatherings.
Guestrooms. The resort's 251 guestrooms display custom designed furniture. Private terraces showcase lake or resort views. Feather beds are dressed in 400 thread count Frette linens, plump duvets and goose down pillows. Granite and marble bathrooms stock designer toiletries and feature separate tubs and showers. Bars stock an assortment of cold beverages.
